Overview
If your practice is considering dispensing "off the shelf " orthotics, and are perhaps a little apprehensive as to how to "get started" then this is the perfect introductory workshop. Alternatively, if you are looking for a comprehensive refresher course on LLB as part of your continuing education portfolio, then the subject matter presented will be of interest to you.

Course Objectives:
CPD: 6 credits
Participants will learn during the one day workshop:
- Biomechanical terminology of the foot and lower limb
- Tri-plane motion
- Phases of the Gait cycle
- Assessment techniques for both the rear foot and fore foot
- Diagnosis and treatments for common lower limb biomechanical pathologies
- Sagittal Plane mechanics
- The importance of 1st ray function
- Subtalar joint motion
- Orthotic Heat moulding and fitting
- Wedging techniques
PLEASE NOTE: Bring a comfortable pair of shoes or trainers for the practical orthotic fitting session.
